Default tortuga 34 wins wahoo tourny

Tortuga 34 update. The boat now has about 500 hours on her. no problems to speak of other than bait and washdown pumps. I think the boat is in harbour Island recuperating from new years. The owner took her to the first leg of the Wahoo Championship in December and took first place. Not bad for the smallest boat there. here is a link if anyone is interested.

I saw the boat in person in Bimini right after Christmas. It looked really good. Unfortunately it was at the dock, so i did not get to see her up and running.

Nice work on the build

Default tortuga34

thanks for the comment GTRFRED The guy that owns the boat lives in Miami and puts a ton of hours on his boats. I think once more people see the boat they will realize how nice the layout is for the islands. Those dual consoles and double bench seats give you many options for storage, seating, sleeping , refrigeration ,etc..

Thanks for the update. Great boat with a great layout. If the owner is who it appears to be, no wonder he knows so much about fishing and boating.

with a nickname like fish head it sure fits. I think I was mistaken as the hours he already put on her. I think it is 680 hours in lees than seven months, You think he likes his new ride. Now I just have to find someone smart enough to build another one. my molds are lonely sitting empty.

I can certainly see why he likes her. Some day, you will build me one when I have enough money to move from JR to SR !

Default Tortuga 34

Had some business in Miami last week. Went by and checked on the boat. 1050 hours personal use since last june and the boat still looks new. One bilge pump switch and a bait pump are the only things that have crapped out. Opened the fish box and it had 500 pounds of ice in her. Boat left to Cat Cay the next morning. I heard there are still some wahoo south of bimini based on the owners catch,
