You have any pictures of the 18ft jig? I still need to give you a call. Too much work here for me to do.
What method of construction are you going to use? Cold Molded? Also what materials will be used in the build and thicknesses? How much you think she'll wiegh when done? Motor? Is it going to be a transom mounted motor or on a bracket? If Bracket how will that legth of boat handle a bracket with the pivot of wieght extended back? Beam?

The construction method is cold mold. We will be using DF, marine plywood, Divinycell,1708 glass and West System epoxy. The fuel tank is a 55gal, belly mounted as far forward as we could get it. The keel is laminated DF, stringers are 3/4" marine ply, the bulk heads are all 1/2" marine ply that interlock with the stringers and keel to create a egg crate grid so the floor has a nice solid base. Every part, except the chine logs and keel, will be cut using the CNC router. The max beam will be 8'6". My plans as of right now are to use a bracket. The program we are using is telling us that everything checks out for the bracket. The displacement for the fully loaded hull with a Suzuki DF200, 55gal of fuel, 20gal of water, bait, tackle, 4 fat ass adults and a case of beer is 3340lb. This number is calculated from the proposed waterline being 4" above the chine log. With this calculation it will take 456lbs more of load to push the hull down 1". It sure is nice to have all this info before you start a build, got to love technology. Hope I have covered all of your questions. Thanks

it may just be the drawing, but it almost looks like the sidewall and the inside of the bow comes straight down from the deck to the sole, like a liner or two piece boat. Assuming that's just part of the mockup and that you'll still have plenty of toe kick?

I was wondering the same thing. Gotta have toe kick. Come to think of it, seems like a good area for some sort of recessed storage areas.

That is the plan, we are building rod storage and other recessed storage in the sidewalls. the rendering does not show it but we have added that since I have posted the last rendering.

Alright. Nice drawings, nice jigs. Lets see one in glass!!
Glass is coming, It makes life much easier when you have a plan. when I first started this thread the plan was to build this boat and plan as I go, now it is well planed out . It takes time to draw the hull in CAD and create cut files for every part of the hull. between the CAD files and the new web site being built, it is hard for us to find time to build. in a few weeks you will see this hull and the 16' come together.

Here are a few more pictures,The fist two are the stem after about 15min in the homemade steamer, the last two are the steamer that was built in 30min.

Good Googley-Moogley, are your stringers deep enough? Looks like it'll be plenty strong. Cool use of the steamer too. One question though, if you are using a steamer, is it really "cold-molding"? Did you get the glass yet? I'm ready to see some planking on that baby!
