I thought I would share this build it is a 32' Custom Carolina boat Scaled down to 8' all frames are cut on a CNC router I am building the hull to scale and it will look like the real hull. I will be using the Hull for a shop sign/display. I will add pictures as I build it. please excuse the messy garage I am building the model at home. also note in the pictures the model is setting on top of the 32' jig. hope you enjoy
Love a custom sign job. Can't wait to see the finished product.
The full size Jig is for sale.
That sign would disappear in Florida in about 10 mins.!
How many hours you figure will be in the job?
As you see it in the pictures I have 3.5hr in it that is including the time it took to cut the jig on the CNC. I will have around 50hr in it after it is faired painted and the Interior finshed.
Very nice.
How is the jig production coming along?
Would stil love a jig for a 36'......
Regards Andrew
Hello Andrew
They are coming along nice. we have a 36' ready if you are interested. also if you are interested in building a scaled down model of the 36' we can cut a jig for that as well. it is nice to build a 8' model of what you want before spending tons of money on the full size hull. how are things in paradise?
The frames look great ,perhaps you could show some of the computor generated images of the finished hull....some people have not seen them posted on the 'other' forum.
I assume it is possible to purchase these frames in plywood insted of the MDF?

Thanks for the photos.

Andrew
We do cut them out of Plywood as well. the problem with plywood it does not always lay flat. I am not sure if you are aware but MDF comes in water proof now. also MDF is more durable than most people think. I will get some screen shots up of the computer rendered frames put together.
