The wide gunnel in the back allows lots of room for gaffs , big feet, washdown hoses , throwing a net, etc.. It also gives you a great platform coming on and off the boat. my other thought is that if some one wanted to have under gunnel lockers built like you see on some of the larger custom boats I would have plenty of room for them.
