These are the pics I kept checking back for, Thanks! I like the 3 spoke on the right for your boat, but in chrome to match the rub rails and gauge bezels. Wish I could hear what that diesel will sound like on plane. Maybe a video with audio???

OOOuch Who sharpens your knife? That's gotta hurt after awhile. I kinda like the middle wheel. It matches the lines of the boat. Second choice would be the Edson wheel.
I have watched this thread from the beginning and all I can say is WOW. Now you have to build another for us to watch everyday. Also, who won the bet on the waterline?
Damn, she looks fantastic. I am curious out performance with the diesel, can you comment or provide some numbers.
Also, what was the noise level like witht the diesel vs an outboard? I take it you were marking the waterline, are you
adding a ttop or leaning post? THAT IS ONE NICE 21!!!!!! Good luck with her.
Well, the new boat ran very well today. It was a bit bumpy(and a LOT cold) on the water today and I was pleased how she handled the chop. I am thawing my fingers and ears as I enter this post.
The tach was not operable, so we are not exactly sure if we are propped correctly. Hopefully, we can get the tach working and try again to get specific performance info. WOT in the chop was 33.5 knots, nearing 40 MPH. These numbers are in line with what I expected, and I was hoping for. Given performance numbers from similar vessels with the same engine package, we are very close with the propping. If the water had been calmer, I am sure we could have trimmed and gotten more speed, but this boat project is not about the speed. We are currently breaking in the engine, so we'll not be running her on the pins for a while. We'll probably end up with a 26 kt cruise and a super efficient slower planing speed.
The weather in the next few days is NOT good for boating. As a matter if fact, the coldest weather we have had all year is forecast for tomorrow and the next 5 days. Murphy's law gets me again! I hope it will warm up soon so we can do more testing and running. All in all, I am very pleased with the performance of the engine package. It has lots of power, particularly at the low end. Acceleration is remarkable for a small-displacement turbocharged diesel. It is also surprisingly quiet, every bit as quiet as a similar sized 4-stroke outboard.
We'll continue to post progress photos as we get her hullside paint completed, handrails, etc. Thanks to all of you THT'ers for your interest in this project and your kind comments.
The waterline winner is Gregg. Congrats Gregg, and I owe you a beer.
This project would not have moved as quickly, nor been nearly as enjoyable as it was without the help of some dear friends. First, I have to thank my wife for her patience and support, feeding hungry boatbuilders, cooking, entertaining, and otherwise tolerating me during a one-plus year project in our garage. Honey, I promise you will get your parking space back in the near future. Thanks to my children for their patience and not using the finish painted hull and deck for their coloring book. Thanks to my mother for believing in me and teaching me that hard work, focus, and dedication will allow you to accomplish most anything. Thanks to my Dad for teaching me to love the water and how to build boats. Shay, Joe, Thumper, Rooster, Morgan, Gregg, Rhem, Thad, I could not have done this without you. To all of you, and others that I can't remember right now, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope for all of the THT'ers that you are blessed with the kind and loving family and friends that I have had during this project.
She really is extremely elegant - a word I don't often consider, especially for boats smaller that@ 35'. Really nice work - congrats to you and everyone that had their hands in on the project.
You should be very proud of the finished product, you are one hell of a boat builder! The boat turned out awesome and it was a pleasure to be involved with the build and the great times we all had. I look forward to a ride, when it warms up a bit.
Give Jen, Mac and Hannah a hug for me and I will see you real soon.
Let the chips fall where they will, cause I got boats to build......
