Default Plunge!

Whew.... what an experience. Our team raised over $1800 for the Special Olympics doing the Polar Bear Plunge this past Saturday. I have to say, I've never felt anything quite like it. It wasn't painful - but it was the most insanely cold feeling I've ever experienced. Its a complete rush of energy and I will absolutely do it again next year. I didn't get the in-the-water pic I had hoped for, but we did get a few good shots.

Pre-game:

Getting ready for go-time:

Success!

The rest of the pics are on my website here: http://bucktales.com/pictures.aspx?i...reCategory=177

I highly recommend the experience. Great party, great time, and its for a great cause.

My son, Brad, has been in SO in Maryland for 20 years. Special Olympics, along with Special ED and Boy Scouts, have been an important part of his life. My thanks to all who particpated. It was a heck of a party - people were actually tailgating in the Navy Stadium parking lot which was being used as a shuttle lot.
Our special thanks to Bunky who won a huge lottery prize and donated $1,000,000.
I've got some great pictures if someone who can post pictures want to put them up.
Buck Tales - PM me and will get together for some fishing this spring. Got a boat - need experience.

Nice work, but come on, it's Maryland, how cold can it be?

Come up here to MA, NH or Maine and try it out. Boston Harbor water temperature is currently 38 degrees.

Way to go Bucktails - As a parent of a grown special needs daughter it great to see young people as yourself giving effort to a great cause and having fun at the same time. My hat is off to you and your team. Keep up the good work and thanks for your effort.

Looks like alot of fun with good friends but I'd be a little concerned with "shrinkage" with that speedo on. Not that I was looking I might add!
