Out of appreciation for all the posts from people who have posted pics from boat shows, I thought I would throw a few up from today. Here are some of the new (ish) designs, and just general interest ones. Enjoy.
Eastern was there with their new pilot house Defender 26 based on their existing hull. It was very well layed out and built. The pilot house was great, and the foredeck had lots of room, with a nice storage cuddy in the bow, and a 45g livewell. Apparently, originally spec'd for fire and defense. Boat show price rigged as shown was $115k, which seemed relatively reasonable. One of the guys there had posted a youtube video from this boat's seatrial:

Everglades had their new 350 Express there - very nice. Thing is a beast. Layed out much like the Hydrasport 33/3500VX, but it dedicated more space to the seating area in front of the console. The fore-birth was a bit smaller as a result, but it had one of the nicest mid-births in boats of this class I have seen. Room enough for two adults, with a raised aft ceiling for sitting up. Fit & finish was great:
Random shot of the Grady 306 - which I thought had a console birth but this one did not:
Ssssccchhhwwwwiiiinnnngggg!
Hydrasport 2200 - one of the toughest looking little CC's out there:
Any guesses??
Pearson? I forget, but pretty:
The new Regulator 30 Express. I don't know why this boat has been getting bashed. It seemed well layed out, nice lookng in person, and fits a purpose. The centered helm area was great, and the cabin seemed fairly spacious for this sized boat. Mid-cabin was pretty standard (mediocre). Cockpit space was good, and fit/finish looked strong. My comments are w/out taking price into consideration to any great extent - prices just seem to be high with alot of new boats these days. For a mid-sized express, she'll move out with the twin 350's, be quiet, and easy to maintain.
Bird's eye:
Here is the new(ish) Southport 28 Express. They just make a nice boat. Great fit/finish and feel. The cabin struck me as a little small, but they had a nice bump-out in the mid-cabin birth where an adult could actually sit up. Helm/bridge area were very nice - cockpit not huge but adequate. This could be a great fishing/family cross-over:
Worldcat - I don't know much about them, but the 33 has an impressive layout and deck space. The 32ec looked nice as well - cabin is certainly tight, but they squeeze alot in there. Both hulls look impressive in size:
That's all I've got. Attendance seemed pretty decent today. I actually saw Sold signs on boats ranging from small Hydrasports, to big expensive things, and a 24' diesel inboard fancy launch for $115k (??). Lots of other great boats there. The Jupiter 29 looked good. I was surprised how big a Contender 25 feels on-board. The Parker 25 CC is also bigger than I imagined. The Yam 350 is huge, but we all knew that...The new Hydrasports 3500vx was impressive, but I couldn't tell a significant difference in lay-out between it and the 3300vx. I know I missed a # of other boats, but it was a quick day.
