We had to put down our 16 yo Chow a few months ago. Very tough!!
My 5 yo daughter only knew him a short time but became very attached.
Last Friday, my daughter rec'd a letter from Santa asking her to have her parents take her to an Animal Shelter to adopt an unwanted dog.
Well, that was the best thing we could have done.
I am at this moment looking at this 4 month old Dachsund mix (Ruffy) snoring at my feet and we are all very attached already and it's only been a couple of days!!
