I saw that boat a couple of times this weekend at the Folk Fest, and once on the local RI news channel a month or so back (on a segment about rising fuel costs......)
Do you keep your boat in Newport as well?
Sorry I can't answer your question, but I agree I do not think it is a B&D.
Look at the flare when are people going to make Pilot Houses look like that
I've often wondered the same thing. Been thinking about contacting Shearline to see if they would build something in the 28' range with flare like that.
Yellow old buddy , if you move the little blue bar at the bottem of the screen to the right you would see that there is 450 HP on the back of the baby, not 225.
I think the men that build that awesome ride have the smarts to power it the right way, that aint there 1st hull.
Now on my side of the story , back at ya , why would someone put a slow , stinking azz diesel in a little boat.
Now be a man and just type something like , Hey nice boat dude, then walk away.

No flame here welder but "those men" (and their ancestors) know how to put on any type of power they want to on boats much smaller than that. What they do is up to the buyer.

Calyber The pictures of the 35' on that site are of my boat. The beauty of their center consoles is what got me interested in their boats to begin with. With regards to engines, I have volvo diesels, tops out at 40 knots and crusies at 34 knots burning about 30 GPH.
You're comparing a car to a boat in power? Most CC over 25ft have twins and the majority of those have over 400 hp. If you think 500 hp is impressive look at some of the big sportfish boats. There are plenty of listing out there with boats that have twin 2000hp to the new trip 2400hp tribute "Unleashed." So if 500hp gets a "gez" comment, I can only imagine what 4000 to 7200hp can get in reaction.
Thats almost double of what I burn [ at a 30MPH cruse ] and yes that diesel down low in the center does give a very good ride.
Trade offs for everything.
