Thanks for the cool video.
Saw a bunch of the kites over in edgartown this past Sat. They were in cape pogue pond going by me at 30+ knots. Hope to see you at the meeting. Hope you bring me a tuna filet....
Sorry, George - that fish has been consumed. Maybe if we get another before the meeting... Yeh, pretty sporty out there this weekend. Did you come back Sat or Sun?
Tuna - no, we only took 5 or 6 fish from that frenzy - kiiiddding. We might have been in trouble if we doubled up on that school as we had to chase back some line. They were up & down pretty quick once you were on as well. We actually lost the fish we hooked up in that frenzy on the video 25 mins into it and 10' from the boat. Spirits were declining as it got later & later w/ fewer & fewer schools to be found. We got into some more good action right at sundown when we landed the fish shown - taped off at 47" and probably 65-70 lbs.
Thanks, V. Yes we were on my boat, and it was our 1st tuna on her. Great fun - especially on the spinning gear.
It let's her see why I like fishing and drag our boat to the coast.
