I would definitely see him fitting in better with the roush crowd (gemini) than the hendrick crowd. I don't even think nascar would allow the two polar opposites among the fans (Jr and Wonder Boy) to be on the same team. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. I hope he goes with Childress, that would be cool

It's sad when even Jr. says, can't beat em' join em'. There is still hope he goes with Childress.. Everyone remember that commerical a year or so back when Jr supposedly decided to change his number, people had tatoos, shaped the bushes in the shape of the 8, haircuts etc...frantic ensued? Ahh weell, guess we will wait and see at 11 today.

Before Sr built DEI, he always said that if he built a team and COULD pick any driver to drive for him, Gordon would be the one. As much as I couldnt stand it, Sr thought highly of Gordon. I loath Gordon and Johnson.
I thought Jr was a shoe in for RCR. He went for the money AND the CARS/ technology. Now he will have to drive and prove himself.
I just cant imagine Gordon, Johnson and Jr sitting around shooting the chit and have a couple of beers...I just dont see it.
Maybe I am not up to speed on all the Nascar stuff, but what is it with Gordon that irritates everyone? The guy that handles my biz credit cardprocessing managesworks for the company that takes care of the Tony Stewart website. We were chattin on the phone about Nascar and I told him that Gordon and Jr were my favorites and he lit into me like there was no tomorrow!

the "good ole boys" dont like Gordon much because although he is an Indiana native he gets the California RICH BOY wrap. I am not his fan but is a very good driver. There has been issues in the past with him and almost everyone but most is just drama for the sport. (sells more tix and little E stuff)

Most folks don't like Hendricks because of their success and they are considered the "bully" on the block with huge financial resources. I am not a Hendricks fan either, but they are a strong organization and obviously have great people.
My ant Eunice will have a dilemma. What will she do about the big number 8 tattooed on her right tit??
I just can't believe he will drive for Hendricks.
I can see it now, during driver introductions.........driving the number 25 Budweiser Chevy.....Dale Earnhardt Junior......the fans booo.....booo....booo.......Gordon walks over and hugs Jr and says.....welcome to the club.

I say this a native son of NC.....NASCAR's breeding grounds.....the typical fan doesn't like Gordon due to the fact he isn't a redneck or southern boy. Yeah, he was a bit whiny years ago but his driving skills have outpaced the entire NASCAR line up and should have earned him the respect of the fans. Candidly, the avg. fan's open disdain for Gordon has prevented me from ever feeling like I want to be considered a part of that group......it's stupid, immature, irrational and vulgar.......on second thought I normally like that type of crowd.
Jr., on the other hand, is a good old redneck that has been living on his daddy's name for way too long. I don't think he is a good driver and is grossly overrated IMHO. He does have the largest NASCAR fan base.....I'll bet half of his die hard fan base are women and young girls........the other half were fans of his dad.........since I am neither of those I find him to be a obnoxious malcontent.
It is really going to alienate a lot of his fans who have been conditioned to hate Hendrick MS. I guess we'll know in a half hour. I still can't believe he would go to Hendrick.

As someone who is neither a Jr. fan nor a Hendrick fan, I think this is funny! Especially for the Jr. fans who despise Hendrick, i.e. Jeff Gordon. Junior just sold out his fan base and went over to the dark side.
What will be interesting to see is if Jr. can win at Hendrick. My bet is he'll do about the same, maybe a little better 'cause I don't think he is that great of a driver. He has just been riding his daddy's name and living on the sponsorship money.
