Here is how my led lights install turned out! Sometimes i go a little overboard . They will do 7 colors, and 16 functions. Can make them beat to music and comes with a remote!

The lights are an UNDER CAR KIT that i bought on e-bay. They have different kits as to how far you want to take it! This kit came with 2-48" tubes, 2-36" tubes, 14' extensions, junction box, control module, all mounting hardware, and a remote. I ordered an extra 36" tube and 4 extra extensions to make the runs i had to make. The kit had a retail of $499 but i got it for$99. With the extras and shipping i have about $175 into it. For running at night you can just unplug the hard top lights but they look great at the dock! I will get the order info and post.

Gotstripes, how do you think these kits from eBay will stand up to the saltwater environment? They certainly look pretty neat for getting both red lighting for saving your night vision as well as white light for working. Can you control the intensity of the LEDs?

OceanTrivr, can't control the intensity but for night running i can just unplug the lights around the hard top or just the one in the front. The lights were built to go under a car and seem to be built very well and the connections snap together. I will take some install pics this weekend and post on sunday. Darryl

The set I have on my boat are Optics by StreetGlow, or StreetGlow by Optics. Dont remember the name right now. They have 7 different colors and also 16 different flashing modes. This set you can adjust the intensity of the light and the speed they flash.
As for them holding up they are made for cars, the kids mount them under their cars, so they are very durable. Have had them on my boat for 3 years without a problem. My set was about 200.00

One thing about them you get a LOT OF LOOKS on the water when you have them on.

They do work great for night, I just turn the red on and I can see just fine running down the lake.

I have had mine installed for 3 yrs and they still work great and I also have about $100 in them, I figure if they go out I will just get some more.
