The company that makes their T tops is Paramount Welding & Fabrication in Sarasota FL. They offer both and do a dam good job, the powdercoat job they do is the best I've seen anywhere.
i was joking with a friend and told him i bought a big yellowfin with trip 300 suzies, his immediate reply was why yellowfin.i said i have been dreaming about the fin for a long time.he said very matter of factly that the large yellowfins do not have gas tanks but segregatted hollow portions of the hull that they fill with fuel.he sounded like he knew where he was coming from, does he? if so there are plenty of these boats around do they have any fuel issues?
Yellowfins are absolutly beautiful boats. Anyone who says other is crazy.
What surprises me is the 42 though. Look at the 3rd pictures from last of the 42. All that space and not 1 fish box or storage bin in the rear. I am sorry but that is just poor planning IMO.
I love that Bay boat too -- as for the tanks -- I know very little - but I think he uses special resins to coat the tank protecting it form the ethanol
unless something has changed recently, they do not have fiberglass fuel tanks. the tanks are integral, in other words, the hull/deck IS the tank. I bet the reason their are no fish boxes in the rear of the 42 is due to this design feature (integral tanks).
The issues with ethanol are on older resins, the new stuff like whats used in Yellowfins have not had an issue. They are bad a$$ boats! I cant wait to see what that 42 lookslike when its done.
