Random Quote: Aye Johnny, have you ever been lost at sea? No Cap'n, but I've been blown ashore many atime!
I found it cheaper to own aboat than keep my salt water reef tank between electric and water and equipment , the fish and inverts were only a small part of the equation but goregeous to look at
Once you are up to speed and tank is fairly stable, I find salt water tanks no more costly than fresh. Save yourself a lot of cash by finding a good fish shop not just a pet shop that sells fish. Some will come to the house and set up for you. However that isn't free. A good shop will usually give you all the advise you need to get going. Start up is more expensive but i find the pay off worth it.
I would show you mine, but it really is embarrasing with all the green algeae and cloudy water in it... you guys are making me feel guilty. I guess I will have to do my water change tonight...
