Friday Salmon River STEEL - The Hull Truth

Fished the Salmon River today and it was a slower day then our past few trips. Almost 60 in the first week in January, we keep saying we wont see another day like this but it keeps happening. We fish it all winter anyway so even when it drops to below freezing we will be there.

Used to love catchin those while in the Army in WA state. The "cowlitz" river I believe.

I "cold smoked" a lot of those guys over the years

The fly fishing skills my Grandfather taught me onthe merimichi river in New Brunswick really paid dividends.

Used a marinade that included lots of maple sugar and some honey . . . eat one piece of "candied fish" and you can not stop
