Christmas Squirrel My 4 year old has been practicing hard to get good enough to hit spinner targets with some regularity so I would take him squirrel hunting. I had to set us up like we were blind hunting so he could have a steady rest.....and we found one that would cooperate. This is one good way to thin out squirrels around the deer stands! He was a proud little fella....ran in the house yelling "I shot a squirrel all by meself!!!" Now he wants to squirrel hunt all of my free time....but it is good training.

Re: Christmas Squirrel He is ready.....no doubt the only thing on his mind now is shooting more squirrels.......especially after he ate his own squirrel gravy! He is not big enough to throw the gun on a tree and shoot them...I have to set him up for "bench rest squirrel shooting"........but, he would massacre the urban type squirrel that sits still when they see people!

Re: Christmas Squirrel Cute kid. To me, a 4 yr old bagging a squirrel is very impressive accomplishment.

Why has the gun stock been colored.....?
It was his sister's rifle first and started out pink.....he loves the hunting but says pink is just not a "tough man's gun"

I'll give him credit for bagging the squirrel, and I will give him double credit for instinctivly knowing that no man should own a pink gun.

RE: Christmas Squirrel That's really cool. I have some fond memories hunting squirrels as a kid.
Sounds like he needs a "tough man's gun"
