Default Bullet proof

This is a photo of a cut out of an exhaust port on the Legend 37'. Scott took the panel to the local gun range and shot it with a 45 calibur 230 grain bullet! The first shot was from 20 feet, and the bullet bounced off (the mark to the right) and the second shot was from 15 feet. Neither bullet penetrated the inner skin of the sample. Pretty amazing.

.45 is not exactly known for penetration. Good energy transfer but lousy penetration.

Try something a little smaller and faster, like a 9mm or a .40 in a jacketed bullet.

Just a thought,

Remember the old military PT boats? Wood hull!!!!

I'm sure they were shot at with higher power than the 45 though.
