Today is my 46th birthday so my wife and I took the day off and ran the boat up the St. Johns River from the I-4 bridge to Blue Springs State Park. This area is just north of Orlando.
It was a really nice quiet day out there. What a bonus to get out during the week when we only saw 3-4 other boats in such a scenic area. Last night we drove over to Titusville to see the launchscrub at a friend's place on the river. Made for a long day.
JamesB - The camera is nothing special. It is a basic 2 year old Olympus 3 megapixel Model Stylus 300. Takes great pictures. We are looking to upgrade (2 megapixelitus) and will look at Olympus first. If you are looking, check out www.techbargains.com. About halfway down the page there is a section for top camera deals. Great site.
BestMate - The I-4 bridge actually goes over the St. Johns River about 200 yards west of Lake Monroe. Jessup is east of Lake Monroe.
PSW - I had just left the dock after backing the trailer down. It did mess up the picture. My 13 year daughter is ready to try and photoshop it out of the picture!

The tough thing is being closer to 50 than 40. As long as I am still having a good time and health is good it's just a number. When I can't go mountain biking or get wood, well that will be a problem!

Thanks for the link, and Happy Bday albeit a touch late.
I once worked with a gentleman in his early 70's, and he once told me "think young stay young". I got that response when I asked him why he was still working as a cabinetmaker at the age of 72. He enjoyed it and it kept him goin.
