This is my new toy, it has a Motometer, which isn't too fancy as for hood ornaments, but I think it qualifies. It's a 1930 Ford Model A Tudor. I can elaborate, if asked, but I don't want to veer to far OT, unless prompted. It's been a real hoot though.
Radioshop - I love her. Especially like the wheel color! Do you get to drive her much? The museum had a Model A along with a few otherlater model Fords. They're like boats to me - can never get enough of them-some day I'll have one.
PS - how'd you get the name radioshop - I collect old radios and am just curious.

Mojo,
She goes out pretty much every Saturday or, Sunday, depending on my schedule. Like a boat, not running it will lead to problems. The wheel color is called sour apple and is a correct color. If you want a Model A, the time is right. Prices are getting to be pretty reasonable on them and they usually sit on the market for a while. Sadly, I think this is because the old guys that identify with them are vanishing. The car is 6' x 13' which is pretty small, which means you can tuck it just about anywhere. You can get just about every nut or bolt for it too, which is nice. I fix two way radios and radio systems for a living. After dealing with all the complexity of modern telecommunications all day long, it's relaxing to deal with something from the technology stone age.
73's
Radioshop-
Not sure I want to go that far back - relate more to '50's & 60's cars. Oddball cars like an early 60's chevy station wagon or '61 Chevy Belair. Pontiac Tempest or Olds Starfire-something along those lines.
I hear you about fiddling with simple things to take the stress out-for me its working on the boat or cleaning up an early transistor radio!

I'd rather see hood ornaments than Truck Nutz.....
darn you been in my neck of the woods.every other truck around my house has them.nothing like trying to tel your kids what the heck that is hanging under the truck
The reason these dudes hang big ones from their oversized trucks is to make up for what they lack themselves, hence why they bought an oversized massive truck that will probably never do any work in the first place.
It is seriously dumb, they should be neutered.
Back on track though, lets see some more cool cars, love em.
the hood ornament isnt too special, but the grille is still nice to look at. im trying to decide whether or not to install power steering, brakes, and seatbelts. keep it original or get some use out of it...?

Unfortunately most hood ornaments are worn on gold chains by the hoods that steel them. Also unfiortunate is thet they will never know how stupid they look.

Miike - both woodies are Fords and both have wood headliners. Much more than that I couldnt tell you! The older woodie is a locally driven one used by a bed and breakfast called Saltwork Bed & Breakfast. Maybe one of the resident Ford experts will chime in . They are true works of art.
The next shot is my son-wonder where he picked up this habit.
The 'modern classic' pictures following are his
