Last July 4th weekend the Boatpix chopper flew overhead when I had my nieces in the boat. I was racing my Brother-in Law back across the Great South Bay to Fire Island. You'll notice he's nowhere to be seen...
These were expensive but cool to have. Most of the family lives out of state now and we only get together once or twice a year.
These girls are young, so let's keep the comments G-rated.
Boatpix followed us one time a while back and we took a pic of their helicopter...we told them that we would trade a picture of their helicopter for one of our boat...they didn't take the deal...
Here's how they worked it. I sent them an email saying "Hey, your chopper flew over my boat on this date in this area and here's what it looks like and I'd like the pictures if they're good." I had to give them a credit card against the photos. The deal is they send them to you and you keep the ones you want. So, in about six weeks, they sent three photos that were HUGE (18"X20") and they were 250.00 each, but if you bought 2, you got one free. So I could buy the whole series for 500. I suppose they send the HUGE prints so you can't just scan them and send them back easily. makes sense.
Instead of buying the huge prints, I sent them back and bought three 8X10" prints (150 each, buy 2 get one free) so it ran me 250 for all of them.
