I went to the A.C. show today, it was nice "much" smaller than the Miami boat show. What's the largest boat show within a 5 hour drive of the Jersey Shore?
I also must say i didn't see the Contender, Southport, Yellowfin, and Sailfish CC's at the show, but out of the other major builders. The 2 boats that stood out IMHO where the 31Bahama which i've never seen before and the 29 Everglades.
The 31Bahama's fit and finish i thought was the best i've ever seen and prior to seeing this boat i thought the southport was the nicest. The MSRP with a hard top and 275 verados was $221k I don't know what the street price would be. The 29 Everglades was a bit cramped but again the finish was excellent and i liked the way they do they're pilot house and all the draws behind it. The show price on the boat was $150k Does anyone know what the real street prices are for these boats? And has anyone ridden on the 31 Bahama?
I also must say for the Big Boys the vessel that stood out was I believe called and Island Runner or something along those lines. The boat was yellow and definitely an eye catcher. The little Jersey Devil was an interesting looking CC as well. I'm curious to hear anyone elses impressions of the show.
FINALLY WHAT IS THE BEST BOAT SHOW IN THE U.S. ?

Are you talking about the one with the diesel/jackshaft/I-O??? It was a nice looking boat, caught my eye... I got turned off when I saw only one compartment in the deck, no fish boxes, etc.... A shame...
Best boat show in the world is Miami.....
Yes that was the boat with the jack shaft. Where the Mirage boats the same set up with th e Jackshaft?
I thought the miami show was the best but i've heard alot about the FT.Lauderdale show so i didn't know which was bigger.

Annapolis powerboat show, Oct 12-15. www.usboat.com. Check out the web site, they list the boats that are planned for display so you can see ahead of time if the manufactures and models you want to see will be there. Great show, takes me 5 hours from Long Island so should be a lot less for you.
Thank You for that information I was hoping that Soutport, Bahama31, and Yellowfin would be there but not of them where listed. I think I will wait for the Miami Show.
Bahama 31 is the only boat I've ever seen that has better fit and finish than my Southport. The boat that was at the show has been docked in my lagoon all summer. It runs as good as it looks. The owners have drawn on their experiences through the years to produce a boat that addresses all the details that they found lacking on similar CC's in it's class. "Discounted" price was listed on the console, $188,000. The 52 Davis was Egg Harbour/Davis/Predator owner Ira Triocki's (sp?) boat. Very nice. The Carolina type express is an Out Island, also very nice and similar to the Jersey Cape which was also there. I was also disapointed with the Little Devil 31 by Jersey Cape. I know it is their proven parasail boat hull, but the finish looked kind of cheap and sparse. Not at all what I expected out of the company that builds that beautiful Jersey Cape 31.
Exhibitors fees are pretty costly at the AC show, that is why you don't get the participation from dealers. I believe many of the dealers do get assistance from the manufacturers at the winter Convention Center show, which is much bigger. Of course the entry fee keeps going up too, $20 All in all, the show was pretty poor, with less and less boats every year. I skipped last years show, and I'll be missing this show from now on.

I didn't see Soutport, Jupiter,Sailfish, and Contender where they at the show? And which is bigger the winter Atlantic City Show or the Jacob Javits show?
Filet: Southport, Contender, Sailfish and Jupiter were not at the show. Hobby Lobby never attends the Sept. show, so you can't see Southport until Jan./Feb. I also don't recall seeing Parker there. All Seasons in Somers Point is the Jupiter/Sailfish dealer. I don't recall them ever having any Jupiter's at the show in past years, but I believe they used to show Sailfish. All Seasons does participate in the AC Convention Center Show in the winter with all their lines. They did have the Out Island Express at the show. There were quite a few manufacturers missing at the show, (just off the top of my head: Four Winns, Cobalt, Fountain, Sea Pro/Sea Boss). The vendor area was also very weak. Very disapointing, and I don't think I'll be back next year unless the kids want to go.

The 38' Out Island at the show was awesome. She is an awesome performer as well. She was loaded with everything anyone could want. 32kt. cruise burning 32gph combined. We did not show Sailfish this year at the show due to the cost compared to the response when showing in the parking lot.
First time at the In-Water and was surprised at how small it was. I guess if the marina is looking to displace the transients and the gambling income they may represent, I'd imagine the exhibitor fees would be high.
Was disappointed not to see Fountain. Seemed like half the show was Formula and Viking (which makes sense since the factory's 10 miles away.)
I was digging the Jarrett Bay...and the 46' Buddy Davis. Dreaming...

I was at the show. I always go since my boat is there and they give us 2 free tickets every year. It was pretty disappointing this year. Much smaller and the midway had only about half the vendors as usual. Typical Trump operation. Take something great and screw it up ! I've been at the Farley Marina 42 years and have been to every boat show there. I'm not surprised they are pricing every body out !

For those that saw the Jarret Bay 32 walkaround. I'm curious about the impressions. I thought it was a stunning looking boat. I could do without trips on that boat IMHO. I didn't go on the boat so i didn't get a close up of the fit in finish. I'm curious of the opinions of anyone that went on the boat, and if anyone has ridden the boat how does it perform?
