WHAT IS THE BEST 25'-30' CENTRE CONSOLE??

I am thinking of upgrading my 22 Whaler Outrage. What is the best centre console on the market today?

30' Hinkley is 350k very pretty looks very downeast and high maintance to keep her beauty Lots of woodwork I don't know of anything that is higher priced in that size CC and since I swing a hammer I will never know what kind of ride it has but if you have money dripping out of your backside it would look good next to the big boat

All important questions. If it is fishing your looking at then 25 Contender or
26 Sea Vee (2005 last year made). My buddy is trying to sell his so he can

Up to 26' Regulator is the best of the beasts!!!! Their flaw, they cost more to push.... Superior boats though...

In the high end range I like both the Jupiter 29 & the Sea Vee 29. The Jupiter offers more luxury and built-in foward seating. The Sea Vee is more a pure fishing boat. Just down a small step you have to considered the Whitewater 28 and the Contender 25/27.

I had the same debate last year. I sold my 23 Contender, looked at and researched pretty much all of the competition in that range (ad nauseam). I wanted a 24 degree deadrise and that flat level forward deck. A factory that answers the phone was also on the wish list. I went with the 28 Mckee. I started thinking about a foam filled, unsinkable hull and I guess that made a difference. Since you have a Whaler you may already be thinking along those lines. Otherwise there are quite a few good hulls out there. The McKee has been a very good ride. If you order one, get the Yamahas, I wish I had.

i own 1988 261mako ive rode other 26 footers ...but the mako is a tough hull ...i have no stress cracks anywhere on the deck or transom ...and the waves dont move it much #1

I am going to rob this thread for a moment as it is my dad (boats999) that started it.

Some of the boats that we have spoken about and he as considered are

Regulator 26
Contender 31..leaning to a FA rather than a CC..we think Mom would like cuddy but still happy with a head in the console
Jupiter 31

We live in Nova Scotia on the East Coast of Canada and feel that sticking with one of the above brands is the way to go becasue to us, they are a more recognized brand than say a Sea Vee or a Yellow Fin in our area and therefore resale will be better as well.
We certainly want to stay with the high tier boats though.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated. The boat will rarely if ever be fished. It will be used for short day or eveing trips such as following the local yacht races around the bay.......a soft and dry ride is important as our bay is typically not very calm on most days.

The GW 306 is 19.5 degrees at the transom.
