Default How is the Lake Erie fishing?

Just wondering if anyone knows how the fishing on Lake Erie Canadian side is? Any help or suggested forums would be appreciated? Thanks. Dwain

Where at Dwain? Couple hundred miles of shoreline. The guys were still whacking the steelhead and walleye last weekend off of Wheatley. Middle GPS numbers 59N 15W would be a good starting location and I think they were doing OK closer to shore as well. 4-5 days in a row of East winds may have things screwed up for a while though.

Location would be Port Glasgow down to Erieau. We were out at Erieau a couple of weeks ago and caught some rainbows, walleye and silver bass (don't want to mention the sheephead). I had heard that the fish were heading east of Erieau. Wheatley is just a little further than what I wanted to trailer the boat. I was thinking of heading out on Friday and leaving the boat til Monday at a marina. Dwain

The eyes are doing pretty well in the area, and so are the Steelies if you can get on them. However, we are looking at 5 days straight of NE wind so all bets are off!

Reel Naughty: Thanks for the update. It is suppose to rain all weekend which is a pain, but will try to get out anyways. I hear Long Point, near the Lighthouse they are catching salmon, bows and some lake trout. Was trying to keep my driving time down a little. Thanks.
