Default Trailer brake actuator replacement?

Original 1999 Titan drum brake actuator leaky. I’m planning on replacing the entire coupler. Considering a Tiedown due to the added feature of it’s movable lock pin for reversing uphill. Fastening and hyd line fitting appear compatible Has anyone had success in changing out a Titan > Tiedown? Appreciate any advise.

In general, I would prefer Titan products. Seems you've had good service "since 1999", no re-builds?

If the lock-out pin is important to you, simply drill a small hole in the side of coupler and secure a pin to slip in when you want. Typically, drum brakes don't grip enough in reverse to need a lock-out. I would imagine you could use a disc brake solenoid to lock out brakes in reverse.

I removed an Atwood POS actuator and installed a Tie-Down 6600 for use w/ my disc-brakes...have been very pleased w/ this actuator after coming to understand DAMPER must be filled w/ brake-fluid, pumped in from the actuator's master-cylinder...read the instructions for easiest learning-curve...
