Default t-top halogen flood light

I have a aluminum t-top with a halogen flood mounted on the back. I wanted to add one on the front, but there isnt a place to mount one.

Does anyone know a place that sells a bolt on bracket? or have any idea how much it would cost for a welder to add a mounting area? if so a S FL welder recommendation would be great.

THanks

boaters world carries a light that mounts on a hardtop but everytime I try to order it was out of stock. I just drilled thru the fiberglass hardtop.

On my last boat I used a fishing rod holder mount to connect to the tubing of my ttop in the front. Follow this link and look at item F or G: http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catal...=SearchResults . I used a tap to match the size of screw that came with the floodlight mount and was able to screw the light mount into the rod mount. Just retap the hole in the rod holder and screw the light mount into it and maybe use a little green loctite. Here is a link to the light I used (I think): http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs...0001/586/235/9

Hardlivin,

that is exactly what i was looking for. i am not sure that the mount for the light that i purchased will fit that. it might need some modifications, but that is a great start.

thanks
