Is that a Contender 25 for $130k? Or is it a Contender 27 with the wrong size in the LOA category? The 27 has an loa of 30'.

That boat is a screwup. First it is not a new hull 25 Contender that is made to handle the 250s. Second it is overpriced unless that price includes a trailer, full premium electronics, outriggers and tax out the door. And still seems high priced. The model 25 Contender is 28 overall and the model 27 Contender is 30 overall, so I don't know what they are trying to call it when they say 27 overall. It looks like a 25 to me but even if it is a 27 250 4 strokes are not my first choice. The reason i say it's screwup is:
It is is not a new 25 hull redesigned for 250 4 strokes
Even if it was it still would be nicer with 200 2 strokes (my opinion, some would disagree)
Even if it is a 27 it still would be nicer with 2 stroke 200 Yams or ETEC or Opti 225s. (my opinion again)

I have a 2000 25 Contender with 2005 200 HPDIs. I just took the 225s off and replaced with the HPDI 200s and the boat is superior in all ways to the heavier engines. If you insist on 250 4 strokes you need to look at 31 ft Contenders. Then you will have a correct super nice machine that is matched correctly to the power on the transom. For that price you can get a 31 with 250 four strokes new, I am sure.

so what would be a reasonable offer for this boat? like 100k? less/more?

grin:

what's the new 25 hull about? re-engineered? made to handle new 250s? new transom?

so 2 strokes on 25 or 27? less weight?

Want a larger Contender that's in EXCELLENT condition? It's 35', center console, cuddy, full enclosures....and the list goes on. I've got one for sale here on THT. Let me know if you're interested.

(Boat's in RI...can discuss moving it to South (we've got a place in Tequesta/Jupiter))

Anyone who spent 15 minutes shopping for a Contender would know that boat is $30,000 overpriced at least. Since this is your first post, my guess is your a troll with a boat for sale...........
