Default Rack Storage, What do you pay?

Just got my new yearly contract, $11.40 per foot and if you pay the year up front they give a 7% discount which works out to $10.60 per foot. Just a couple years ago was paying $8.00, curious what everyones paying around the country?

Oh, for comparison I have a 24' WA with a hard top, Ft.Myers FL. Marina is nice, covered storage, resturant and floating docks but gets bussy as heck in tourist season, have to call 5 days out to get a decent splash time.

Average at $244 a month, if there is no additional in/out charge or restrictions on number of launches. No overhieght charge for hardtop and nice facilities is good, but you should be able to get fueled and in the water in an hour or two at most. I was in a dry stack for years, but when the price of my current 23 got bigger than the price I was charged 4 years ago for a 28, a new trailer for less than the annual charge paid for itself immediately and every additional year is money in the bank. The bonus for me is now is I'm not restricted by the marina management's hours and I can buy fuel at any service station and save a buck a gallon. I keep the boat and trailer in storage lot about 200 yards from the a ramp on lower DE Bay, with several others within 20 miles that offer more direct ocean access. I guess in the end I traded 20 minutes of convenience each outing to save 2500 plus a year. Downside is that the boat sits out in the elements instead of in a building now.

Same price here in South Fla, for my in/ out storage - Loggerhead Marina. approx $11.50 per foot, this is for the preferred spots, there are some spots that are less desirable for a little less in the same Marina. Spots that are tall enough for T-tops, hard tops, spots that are higher in the stack( no drippings from other boats) etc. these spots (mine is one ) get tagged with the premium asking price.

There is no extra charge for extra moves during the same day or moves from the water to wash racks and then to the dry slip.

the boating industry is becoming a monopoly just like the oil industry. When one person raises their prices, everyone else follows. Dock spaces here in south fla have become dinosaurs and boat ramps are getting so overloaded on special holidays that they are being closed. If you think it's expensive now, wait 5 more years until more boats are out there and then prices are really going to skyrocket.

off course, that's if we still have enough gas to run our boats

Your so right Intreppy, the boat ramps here in so fla, are the reason I decided on the in/out storage, its absolutely nuts unless you launch at 4 am to beat the crazies. and then returning to the ramp after the day is done is another crazy time, At our Marina they meet you at the floating dock , help with docking and are always pleasant (tipping helps) but it all come with a price.

Wow, that is a great price for Loggerheard as the one in Riviera Beach is $17.00 a foot plus the premium for T-Top and that is only if you sign up for a year otherwise its $25.00 a foot!!!!! I'm not sure how you got that rate unless you work there, related to someone there or there is just a drastic difference from your location and Riviera Beach.

About $1,800/yr for unlimited in and out for a 2-foot boat in Chesapeake Bay; I checked one marina on Nantucket, and it was about $3,600/yr for the same boat, unlimited in and out, if you could get a spot, which pretty much requires that you at least repower your boat there or buy a boat there, and Nantucket isn't a place to find discounts.

Around here, it's $10.00 per foot per month. That would be $2,640.00 per year.

The marina I stack my boat at, Beach Marine in Jacksonville,FL has gone up to $15/ft plus extra for a T top. I pay $512.00 per month for my pursuit . the place is ok but no amenities. I am moving to an $11 per month marina in Mayport at the end of August. It isn't as nice but much closer to the blue water.

Racks aren't very common around here, but I have a "dry slip" at my marina where I can park the boat on the trailer year-round, and have unlimited (free) ramp usage.

This costs $1200.00 a year.

$145 per foot per year in Northern VA. Don't know anyone that will let you pay monthly, only yearly. But it works out to about $12.08 per ft per month.

15.25 per foot per month..............and wouldn't have it any other way!
Right on the Jupiter Inlet, no Knuckleheads at the ramp to deal with and a certified Yamaha mechanic at the same marina.

Been there almost 10 years............wow time flies.
