Don't have one, but I've been shopping around a good bit. I was really impressed with the Nautic Star. Good fit and finish, etc... But, I've never been in one on the water. Looks like it may be worth a test run.

I have the 2200. My father and I have both been impressed with this boat. It has a good ride in chop. Its fit and finish are fine to me. And it has almost all the features we wanted as standard equipment. We only added trim tabs, trolling battery charger and high pressure wash down. The boat looks and runs great. I would definately recommend that your buddy give one a test drive. If you would like more detailed information please email or PM me.

Thanks,

Is Nautic-Star a new company? There are several Nautic owners here. One posts a pic of his boat in each comment he posts. I believe my friend wants a 2200 bayboat.

Nauticstar is a few years old at this point. I've seen 2004 models, so that'd be three model years of working out the production kinks. Presumably if things were falling apart after a short while we'd see posts along that line already.

A neighbor has had a Nauticstar 2110 for about a year now, still likes it, no real problems have come up in our chats. According to the dealer that model is a big seller. I'm considering buying that same model, need to climb around on them a little to get a closer look. Can't do that until the dealer gets more in, they've been out of stock over a month now.

I have a 2000 OffShore and really love it. I had one of the NauticStar 2200 bay boats and traded it on this OffShore. I have been very pleased with both boats. The fit and finish is GREAT and the ride is GREAT.

Nautic Star cut there chops building deck boats. Small Mississippi builder that seems to trun out a good value.
I have fished on the 19 ft bay. Sweet boat and very roomy for the size. The off shore model looks good too. Maybe big fish could tell us more about it
Bay boats are great but not if you need to cross 5 or 10 miles of 2 to 3 ft chop.

Proud to be in South Mississippi

Nautic Star is one of the best kept secrets IMHO for the bay boats... I ahve ridden on a few was very impressed - will definitely consider when I upgrade.

I purchased a 2000 Offshore a little over a month ago. My wife said it was time we had our own boat (Huh.....what.....could you please repeat that?) . So on our 10th anniv I drove from Mobile to Biloxi to buy her anniversary present. We really like the boat. Fit & finish is good as well as the ride. I can even put my 4 month old's stroller under the console (gotta start them early......)!!!!

My only gripe is that it's a lot of boat for my Yam 150 4 stroke. It goes 43 mph at WOT which is plenty fast, but man......sure takes it's time getting there.

Anyway, I'd recommend this boat to anyone looking for a 20 footer

Like Hmon said, the console in the 2000 Offshore has an unbelievable amount of room in it. Great quality, fit and finish. I have heard from my dealer that NauticStar has a 2200 OffShore out now.

Neighbor has the 19. Very nice boat. good fit, finish, construction and features and price. The ride is very good also for a 19' bay boat.
