Default Repower? 225 opti's to new Verados

I was wondering how much trouble it would be to repower with Verados, if i repower with opti's i can just bolt right on and change harness plug

if i repower with Verados, can i use my gaffrig controls and Fountain rigged steering, or do i have to rig the fly by wire and power steering, if so, will my smartcraft and wiring harness work with the verados?

if i have to replace this equipment or decide to anyways, how $$much am I looking at for the conversion,
I will most likely keep the gaffrig controls if possible

I currently have 02' 225 opti's on a 34' Fountain

thanks for your help,

Chris Bazor

You will have to re-rig everything, steering, controls, etc. I think your SmartCraft stuff may be compatible, but everything else will not be. Go with the 300s, it will be more cost effective. The only additional parts you will need are adapters for the main engine harnesses, $50 each.
