I have an 03 opti 225 that has about 135 hours on it. I know the previous owner trolled a lot. I was wondering if I should be adding SeaFoam to my tank? is it safe for my engine?
seafoam is not the stuff to use if you want to add it to your tank. Sea foam is for a decarbon procedure - do asearch for dunk's decarbon procedure. You want Quikleen from merc for tank additive - 10 bucks treats 72 gallons - you need to do this at least every other tank. I've owned two sets of opti's and this is the procedure. Also make sure you are using optimax dfi oil - it is different and worth it...
