Default Whalers 28 conquest v. 305 conquest. whats the difference?

Just finished my holiday fishing a Proline 251 walk on the straight of Jaun de Fucca with a 200 JOHNSON carb. A pig but ran well with prop advice here(15x 15) Did some 5 footers with my daughter who has sailed around the world and says I scared her spitless. Anyway I am thinking bigger and less pounding and rattling with about the same feul economy with more modern technology. A 28 Conquest will cost me about 80K$ with new 225 Optis. 250 hours. A 305 rigged the same way is about 125K. They are the same length and weight according to my research. Is there a real difference? Good Boats?
