Default hi, looking into a 1998 247 dual console edgewater with a pair of 130 yamaha saltwater series,

wondering if anybody knows anything about the hull design and how well it performs, as well as if the 130 yamahas are a good fit, plus if there reliable and efficient, thx.

Default RE: hi, looking into a 1998 247 dual console edgewater with a pair of 130 yamaha saltwater series,

I ran a 260CC for a year and the hull runs great. The 260CC had a big notch in the transom, sort of half way between a step and a build in bracket. The 240CC does not and is a step slower.

I've run the 260CC in big seas off Ponce inlet and was often amazed at the soft landings it made. The hull is a variable deadrise design by Bob Dougherty. The 240CC is very similar in ride. Go for it.
