Default How long will my electric trolling motor run on a marine battery?

I want to buy a battery but want to now if any knows how many minutes an Electric Trolling mottor will run on a battery and if any one has any suggestions concerning a battery or a specific amp rating.

Thanks in advance

It all depends on amp draw of the motor and reserve capacity of your battery.

A specific answer (in minutes) would be virtually impossible to calculate as there are MANY variables...what motor, what battery, wind, current, boat weight, are you running any other electronics off same battery?...My Minn Kota 24 volt can run for a couple of days under light load, but let the wind kick up and it'll draw down the two group 31s in one day...Get the right size motor for your boat, then get as much batterty(s) capacity as your budget and available mounting space in your boat will allow...

I have run my all day for 2 days between charges. I slow troll with live bait so it is only running on "2" or so and with little wind.
Mine is a 24 v 65lb thrust.

Again you need to keep batteries charged and have good batteries as well
