Default Any Luck with Pettit Vivid White Bottom Paint?

I've got to apply bottom paint on the brand new hull and of course, it's killing me to have to do it, but the boat is kept in a wet slip on Long Island. Has anyone had good experience with the Pettit Vivid White or does it discolor in short order? I don't mind having to scrub the scum line from time to time, but I would rather have a dark paint on purpose rather than a graying white.

Hey Rich. How does it work? Approximate cost? The website didn't give much information. You need to send in your boat's information in order to get a price. Is this for large boats only? (webiste has "testimonials" from captains of large boats).

a friend on mine has the white on his regularly trailered CC that is usually wet slipped. On the few ocations he has left it in the water for several months, discoloration has occured, but was easily cleaned up due to Vivid being a self polishing paint. Overall his take is that it is an excelent product due to being tough, but is going to repaint with a teal green when time to repaint comes. His boat is kept in fresh water on lake murray, the primary enemy here is slime.

At $2,000 for a 34 foot boat? And it says on their own site that it works with bottom paint, not instead of it.

If you slip your boat in an area with marine growth, you will have to paint your boat bottom, period.
