Default Load Rite vs. EZLoader

Hoping someone can give me a direct report on the Load Rites vs. EZLoaders in terms of quality, engineering, etc. Looking at galvanized bunk. I know there have been a bunch of threads where people have recommended trailers, but I'm looking for a direct comparison.

Also, what are the advantages of aluminum vs. galvanized? I assume that aluminum will last longer than galvanized, but is metal fatigue ever an issue with aluminum trailers?

Thanks in advance.

Loadmaster is what you want. I've got an EZLoader now and it's more work and sooner or later those rollers gonna freeze up on you. That will likely result in a gouge in the gelcoat. Also if the cable and safety chain are accidentally removed you'll watch your pride and joy hit the tarmack. That likely wouldn't happen with a bunk type trailer.

Default Load Rite vs. EZLoader

Alex, I have owned both a galvanized and Alum. EZ Loader trailer. The Alum. version is a far superior trailer in construction and design. My Alum has a 23.5' Sailfish 236 on it and it has two alum bunks with the synthetic material on the bunks. I have been unimpressed with EZ Loaders after sales support and the techinical knowledge overall but very happy with the trailer in general. If you are going with a EZ Loader check to see if you can get and upgraded set of wheel bearings, maybe Timkins? That's if you are towing long distances. The factory bearings are made in China.

Sorry, never owned a Load Rite. I second the motion for a Loadmaster, nice trailers.

First off, he's asking about a galvanized bunk trailer from either Load Rite or EZ Loader.

Not a Loadmaster aluminum trailer, not a roller trailer. Now, if you want to consider an aluminum trailer that opens up a can of worms that has been pretty well discussed before.

Back to the original question...You can't go wrong with either one. EZ Loader and Load rite are pretty much the cream of the crop when it comes to galvanized trailers.

Load-Rite is made in PA so the close proximity to you in MD may be an advantage.

I have a 1990 EZ loader with little rust and everything still moves freely. I just replaced 6 of 16 rollers. Called up EZ loader placed an order and they showed up cross country in 4 days. The galvanizing seems to hold up well.

I have an EZ Loader bunk trailer galvanized with tandem brakes and torsion suspension. I also have the optional 'slides' on each of four bunks. Bullit proof! Tows great. Never looked at LoadRite.

I have a bunk, galvanized Load Rite. Tandom axle, single surge brakes. Pulls great. No problems. I was hit by a car on the highway and had to replace axle, fender, wheel etc. No problem getting parts fast.

Have the Load Rite 5400 aluminum bunk trailer, with torsion axels and tandem disk brakes. I think it a real nice trailer.
