At the end of March I purchased a Sailfish 198 DC / w Yamaha F-115. I was told that I was eligible for the free 3 year extended warranty and would be registered for it. Last week I get my Yamaha warranty card and it is for the standard 3 years, nothing is mentioned about the extended warranty. The register date is March 25th so it is before the expiration of Yamaha offer.
Question: Do you get a separate warranty card for the 3 year extended? The dealer I bought it from says this is the case and I should be getting something soon. Just wanted to see if others have had the same experience. I'm a little concerned because to this date I have nothing to verify that I actually am registered for the extended warranty.
Location: Los Angeles, FL.or Georgia, depends. In Fl now.

I believe Yamaha does not send a YES card to owner's of Outboard Motor extended service plan. I did not get one but I went to a friendly dealer and he said yes I am registered.
If in FL there is a separate company that controls your YES. I forgot name..

I first recieved paperwork saying I had a the standard warranty and called the YES people 866-YES-EXTD (866-937-3983) and gave them my serial #'s. They informed me that the dealer had submitted the paperwork for the standard warranty and I did not have the YES. I then had to have the dealer correct it with Yamaha that I had the YES program. I later did recieve paperwork on each of the 225's from the dealer & Yamaha stating I had the YES warranty. It would probably be a good idea for you to call them and give them your engine serial # and see what warranty you have registered on them.
I just recieved my warranty card in the mail - name spelled incorrectly and only a 3 year standard warranty indicated. I called Yamaha directly to change my name on the card and check on the extended warranty. The guy I spoke with said that I did have the extended 3-year and a new card would be in the mail next week. They were in the process of printing the 3-year extended warranty cards. I did have to wait on hold for about 5 minutes but actually talked to a human. You can find their phone number online.

Just went through this myself on my F250. My advice is to call Yamaha as the others have suggested to confirm that the extended warranty paperwork has been completed by the dealer (they also have to pay a fee to do this). When I talked to Yamaha they told me that they will not send out an extended warranty cards now since it was obtained through the promotion. The extended warranty cards will be mailed out approximately one month prior to the regular 3 year warranty expiring. I asked him why they did it this way and he stated that people were taking their extended warranties obtained from the promotion and cashing them out. I did not know you could do that but that is what he told me. In any regard, the most important thing is that Yamaha confirm directly with you that it is registered for the extended warranty.
I'm a Yamaha dealer...if you want to PM me your complete engine serial number, I can pull up proof of the Y.E.S. warranty registration on the dealer website and e-mail it to you.
We got the original warranty card shortly after taking delivery in February. The YES letter and and a 5x8 service record card came several weeks later.

Yamaha was offering for a limited time this winter. Not sure exact date it started, but it expired on 31 March 2006. I got mine just under the wire on 25 March 2006.
