Venture 27 - The Hull Truth

I think I saw a 27 Venture outside of Annapolis yesterday ... I wish I had my camera. Great looking boat! Look like it had a pair of Optis on it.. .I am surprised it didnt have verados on it being that it is a high dollar boat..

Was that you Beano? (if so you didnt wave..) I want a ride!!!

The Venture 27 really interested me until I took a look at the interior layout. I doubt you will be seeing many with big Verado's due to the weight of the motors. From what I hear they plan on rigging with 175 Verado's as the Verado 200's and above are too heavy for the hull.

Hey Greg - That was us, sorry I didn't see you. We ran over from Bay Bridge after the show to do a good long sea trial on the boat. Derek from Venture had to take the boat back down today. I am of course biased, but i think that the boat is awesome. Our boat will actually have 250 Verados, it actually sat a little high in the water with the Opti's. When I get ours up in a month or so I will take you out.

It looked great. How did it perform with the Opti's? Were they 225s? How is the ride compared to the Regulators you used to sell?

The ventures looked awesome at the show. Alliance Marine had the 23, 27 and 34 on display. When is my ride??!!!

It does look like Jupiter.

Alliance broght the 34 to our THT raft-up last year and it was very impressive. I look forward to checking out the 27.

It's funny as Jupiter stopped production on their 27' to make an all new 29' that would handle the heavier motors.

At basically the same time Venture comes out with an all new 27'.

IMO the Jupiter 29' is twice the boat of the Venture 27', check it out for yourself.

I do really like the Venture 34' however and it will be interesting to see how it compares to Jupiter's 33'/34' when it comes out in a year or 2.

We are going have 250 Verados on our 27, the boat will handle them fine. The Opti's were actually light for the boat. The Jupiter 29 and Venture 27 are completely different boats, the Jupiter is definatley a bigger boat.

Greg - I will let you know when our Verado boat is here so we can go for a sea trial. If you look at the transom the boat actually sits high in the water with the opti's. And we will defiantly be at the THT raft-up, if we still have it by then.
