I don't know for sure, but they usually rig the 218 w/200. It may leave a little to be desired. Hope someone chimes in with a 236

they sold alot of 236s with 200s. It definatly will not be a speed demon. Probably run 42 or 43 wide open. Here is a test with a F225. It will probably be close to the same speed at cruise and 1 to 2 miles per hour slower top end. http://www.yamaha-motor.com/assets/p..._077-SLF-A.pdf

My sister in law had the 236 with a Yamaha F225.
It is a great setup. It was fine with the 225. I don;t know what to tell you about the 200 other than go out for a sea trial and see how it performs.

I have the same boat I purchased in April. I only have 22 hours on it. With a full tank of fuel and 4 people wot is right at 40 on the gps. I usually cruise at 4,000 rpm which is around 30 mph. I have onllly been offshore twice but love the ride. Much less pounding then my old Aquasport 25. I ran 66 miles round trip and got 2.7 miles per gallon. The 200 hdpi jumps out of the hole.
I guess it could be faster but I am happy so far.

You will love the boat if you're not a speed demon. Ridden on an 03 with a 200 yam efi and propped right with 3 people and 3/4 fuel, hit 39 mph tops.
