RE: Boat Slips between Sandusky and Toledo
We have a slip east of Port Clinton, called East Harbor marina. Actually, the marina is owned by the state DNR and run by a company called Hoty. Location is nice for fishing and run to islands, but the docks are very old- actually ours is slanted and you do need be careful walking. Lighting on the docks is also minimal and usually several lights are out. However, right next to us is a place called "Anchors Away." Very well maintained, nice owner, docks and lighting are excellent. We have stayed at East harbor mainly due to our dogs. they don't mind dogs at East harbor, just as long as you keep them leashed and under control. Both these marinas are located on Buck Rd, Post Office is either Marblehead or lakeside, guess both work. We also looked at another place a short distance away- had better showers and bathrooms, and this is called Bass Haven. do think that your floks would need take some time and just go visit and see what they like and what's available.
