Default humminbird with side imaging technology

Any opinions and real world experience with the humminbird bottom machines - only the 9" color widescreen units with side imaging technology. Looks pretty slick, but I don;t hear many people with them - what gives?

I've seen those discussed several times in the electronics forum - do a search there

I consisdered one but was turned off by the lack of space to mount the TM transducer on my small cat with trim tabs. You need clear shots not only down but out as well. Heard one say it was fussy at speed but that could have been his location. I opted for a thru hull as I have had bad luck with other tramson mounts in the past.

Slick, but not perfect. The side scan only works at trolling speed. The transducer is kinda big and is transom mounted.
