Crestliner 1750 fishhawk-- rated for 115HP in 1996-- Should I take the weight of a 115 in 1996 for the max " weight" for a repower ie 4 stroke--- also noticed when checking optic and etec they are not light and within 60 lbs of a 4 stroke----??? am I locked into " old tech" with a 20 " tramson

Hate to answer own post however could not edit after 30 min.---- 1996 115HP @ 370 lbs.( est.)--- Either Tohatsu 90 TLDI @ 315 or E TEC 90 @ 320-- appears the the way to go-- Opti 90@375--Merc 90 4/S @ 386

Agree however don't need extra HP worried about weight-- want to run a small kicker ( max 5 ) for trolling for eyes 1.2-1.5mph

If you have a Tohatsu dealer in your area, I would go with that. You should save a good amount of money with that choice and the engines basically don't break.
