I put in a Simrad AP12 autopilot and one of the three fittings on top of the AP pump is leaking . I changed out the fitting and retightened it, but I can't seem to stop the leak. Any ideas??? Is there maybe an o-ring that could be missing??
I had the same thing. Take the fittings off and remove the fitting from the pump, there's some stuff called "leak lock" for hydraulics. Put the leak lock on the threads and tighten each fitting that screws into the pump, then tighten the hoses while holding the other fittings with a wrench so they don't spin or work loose.
The AP12h pump does not have the o-rings. I used LocTite 542 for fine thread hydralics on the threads of my hydraulics. I have never had any problems. It was recomended to me by The hydraulic hose company that made the hoses for my AP12h. Mark
