I have two buddies who own North River aluminum fishing boats and they are having problems catching fish. one of the boats is a brand new 2005 24' Seahawk full pilothouse with twin yamaha 4 strokes on her, and my other buddies boat is an 2004 22' with a yamaha 150 four stroke. You guys have any ideas or things that either need to be looked at or tested for me to pass on to them cause I sure hate kicking their asses in my 24' Grady LOL. Just kiddin I would really like to help these guys out as I fish with them and I care about my buddies, But I think something is wrong if not one but two of the same boats are having issues and these guys are known to bring havoc to fish when they are on the water. Any suggestions would really be appreciated from the #1 Forum on the web. You guys are all great boaters and fishermen.
Thanks for your help,
Rod Green
I am sure its not the boat but the fishing gear they are using. Have then send all the gear to me fed ex next day, I am sure this will solve their problem.

I have a 24' NR Seahawk offshore with cabin. No problem with mine either. If your buddies use downriggers have them check to see if they are leaking current somewhere. The Scotty downrigger web site has a very good tutorial on checking for stray current on a boat. Often times it can be a simple connection and easy to find and or worse that little gremlin hiding somewhere. There are thousands of alumimun boats in the Pacific Northwest and if they didn't catch fish I doubt you'd see many around.
