Default Is there a bow mount fixture for transom mount trolling motor

I have a good transom mount trolling motor, but the devuice I made for it to use onmy bow is a piece o' crap. I'd like to obtain a standard bow mount holder thing so it will lift up and set down like a normal bow mount unit. Anybody know of something that will work? I'm cool controlling it by hand, I just need the device for deploying/retrieving it easier.

You could probably buy a bow-mount bracket from the appropriate manufacturer as a replacement part, if you really wanted a scissors-type mount. Get one of the ones with the trap-door on the front.

A couple of companies make 3rd-party brackets for mounting transom-mount motors to the bow, I've seen them for sale in Cabela's catalog.

Just be sure you can spin the control head around 180 degrees on the shaft, otherwise you'll be running the motor is reverse all the time.

I put this on my Mckee 185 it works great. Dont forget to have the Prop Inverted 90 degrees in the opposite direction.

How much higher is your bow than your transom? On my Lund a transom mount wouldn't reach the water....

Edit-I see you're already using it on the boat. Good luck!
