Since this off-topic thread already exists, why does UConn get twice as many free throw attempts as their opponents? In last night's game, UConn attempted a whopping 47 free throws to only 23 for Washington. It is difficult to beat a team when you are outscored 34 to 18 at the free throw line.
Don't tell me that Washington fouled a lot trying to get back in the game--they were ahead almost the whole way.

I guess the NCAA decided to give the game to CT and use officiating as the medium. LOL! You ever think some teams just know how to play tighter and others just know how to draw fouls? That's basketball.
if you look at how many fouls they have drawn throughout the whole season you will see that this is the only strategy teams have of playing against a tough uconn team. washington had 5 players foul out of the game, it's just like in the nba when teams play against shaq, all you can do in desperation is foul. now to turn this into a boating thread, what type of fishing do you folks in Conn do?

And to answer signmansez, those of us along the coast fish mainly for stripers, blacks, blues, and porgies. Of course there are other fish and your mileage may vary.
Don't forget my favorite eating Conn. fish the Fluke. Now that I've done the obligitory boating related subject...I've got to say Rashad Anderson, "the dagger", as Calhoun calls him, has icewater in his veins! Dropping an NBA three with 1.8seconds to send it to overtime! Got to work on that 26 turnover thing, one more and would have been a record by #1 seed. Go Huskies!!!
Actually, I tend to agree with you at least regarding Josh Boone. I had not seen a free throw air ball since about third grade until Boone threw one up three feet short in last week's game.
Always a good idea to foul Boone if he's going for any easy two at the end of a tight game. I don't get why a guy can't practice shooting from the foul line until he gets it right.
For football games at Husky stadium in Seattle, people can boat to the staduim. There is some moorage available, and for the rest, there are U of W launches circulating to pick up people and take them into shore. Gives tailgating a whole different spin. Because of the poor traffic flow in the area, if we go to a game ( if someone gives us tickets), we take an excursion boat from a local resturant, its actually faster because there's no game traffic in the area the boat leaves from.

Couldn't happen to a better bunch. It's almost hilarious to hear people bitch about officiating and Duke after the 2 uconn games and the Indiana game in the last 5 years.
Having said that, at the present time I am disgusted with Duke (actually K), who I have followed all my life. K needs to use his bench and occasionally play a zone.
