Default PALM BEACH BOAT SHOW - GREAT DAY - SIGN IN FOR SUNDAY!

Had a great day at the Palm Beach Boat Show today (Friday). This is the best show in Florida as far as I'm concerned. Ran into more people/friends in the few hours I was there today then in several days attending other boat shows.

We went to Bradleys for lunch today and it was awesome, cool breeze, great drinks and good crowd.

For those who want to get together on Sunday let finalize a time and place.
Bradley's is great however the floating dock is fun too, especially since you don't have to leave/re-enter the show.

Wet-n-Wiley will be there before the show opens on Sunday and plan on staying most of the day.
We're in for 2 people for either Bradleys or the floating barge at 2:30pm.

Any others?

I had a great time too! I am going back on Sunday.

I was impressed with the Island Runner 36 w/ diesels....1000+ range at 40 MPH or something along those lines. Now if it only came in an express w/ 1/2 tower......

SUZUKI 300 INFO:

The Salesman at the Palm Beach Boat show was told the following by the Japanese Rep:

The 300 will be released for sale in November (we can only hope) with a redesigned lower drag lower unit. (more like a racing Merc lower unit)

The 250 will quickly be changed with the redesign also.

He said this will add 1-2 MPH.

Take it for what it's worth....

We were there again today... no THT meeting, can't get South Florida people to commit to anything!

Endo, pretty sure we saw your boat at the dock. My cousin ended up docking his 34 Venture about 2 up from you. I spotted him coming in while we were looking at binoculars.

Another great day but the show turned out of a boat show and into a see and be seen show around 1:00

Yeah, we saw the Venture as we were pulling out.
Interesting show, lots of eye candy but not a lot of interest in the boats.
We noticed a lot of activity at the insurance booths. Every one we walked by had someone saying "I've been dumped by my present company even though I haven't had a claim."
Worst thing was when we got back to the boat someone had moved it and did an abhorent job of retying it. Apparently they were trying to wedge their boat in and they tied my stern line facing forward and the bow aft. The spring line was just sitting on the dock. Thankfully the wind kept us positioned. I left quite a note for the owner of the Contender 31. I hope he's reading this.
All in all a good day though.

Friday at the show was a pleasure... on Sundays about 20% are there for boats and the remaining 80% there because it was free after 3:00.
