Re: replacement oakley half-jacket lenses I have the half-jacket in a mirrored polarized lens, they were about $80 from SunglassesHut, I think they are Black Iridium, as I'm on the water a lot, there was no way I was going to have a non-polarized lens out there fishing and from experience, the Oakley's are the way to go for me, the lenses are replaceable and their optical correctness is the best out there and their scratch resistance is as good as they can make it, they used to scratch very easily and I've had my lenses for over a year now and have not scratched them from wiping them/cleaning with tissue's or shirts and stuff.
I do know that the various tints/shades they make are for various degrees of sun/light that is out there, I have the black because they aren't so dark that if it is cloudy/hazy I can't see too good and being in New England, the sun isn't as strong as it might be further/1,500 miles south/closer to the equator so I've been good to go. Good luck. |
