the owner of the company lives across the canal from my gf, does ur grandfather live in gables by the sea? the boats look very top notch and the owner looks like he knows how to make a quality boat.

I have fished on one and find it to be a good riding well thought out boat. It certainly holds a place in the top tier of CC boat building.

yeah he live in gbts. they just look like a good semi-custom boat that is priced well for other comparable boats. the cool thing was that just about all the people that had the 36 had the 18 foot flats boat right next to it, made by the same company. thanks for the info.

Great looking boat...very solid and maybe to a point of being over-buit. I was disappointed in how narrow the boat was. The bow seemed very small for a 35' boat. They need more beam.

The SeaHunter 35 looks like a nice boat, but I would not buy one. I always thought that it sat very low in the transom. Just recently a 35 Sea Hunter while fishing a tournament almost sank. The cause was they were getting water in between the hull and the cap on the back of the boat. I guess they don't fiberglass the cap to the hull. SeaHunter filled the gap under the rub rail with 5200 and it looked terrible.

First of all its a SeaHunter 35, not a 36. They just introduced their 40'er at the Miami Boat Show. Ralph (the owner of the co. Lives where you describe and a bunch of his neighbors bought the boat.
Is it a good boat-yes, are they selling yes. Is it perfect- no, but no boat is. This boat is a derivative from a Cary hull. As far as any SH sinking or almost sinking, I don't know nor have I heard about it. If they did the 5200 work and it was shoddy, the owner of the boat should call Ralph, he's an upfront guy and he'll fix any problem.

Rob, Yes a 35 SeaHunter almost sank fishing the Fort Lauderdale Tournamnet. The boat was Midnight Blue a 35 SeaHunter with triple 275 Verados. You can ask Manny from the Money Shot, he was on the boat the day they almost sank. Water came in just from underneath the rub rail. The owner of the boat was happy that SeaHunter fixed their boat so they could finish fishing the tournament. It could have been a temporary fix, which is great, but the facts are that this boat almost sank from water coming in from underneath the rub rail. The owners of the boat are moving up to a 57' boat.

Being a partner in the SeaHunter Corp. we take Quality very serious as well as service. SeaHunter provided both to MidNight Blue. We are based in Miami and the tournament was in Ft. Lauderdale when the problem occurred. By 12 am the problem was fixed and Midnight Blue finished in good standing. The fix was temporary so that they could continue the tournament. If anyone has any doubt as to the performance or quality of our products please feel free anytime to visit the factory/water-test or better yet talk with the owners and see why they choose SeaHunter over the competition. Just a note: Midnight Blue has a spot in the production line for the new 40 cc.

Good customer service? Sounds like it.

Would I buy one having heard that story? No. Sounds like more of a serious design flaw than a breakage issue.
