Random Quote: Hey dad. There's a shoal right there!
Deadwood "Whines cyber blackmail." He also in the next breath will whine about "This is America, Supply & demand rulz, and "Capitalism works." Well Mr. Deadwood, Capitalism does rule. We're just spreading the word so that the next someone spends their money on a good product and reliable warranty. I won't touch those trailers myself now.
Deadwood, you actually are the BIGGEST WHINER on these forums. You subject us with your inferior outlooks on life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Seems like you are a communist and taking the states side to boot.
Rush Limbaugh would embrace your core philosophy and then laugh in your face for using inept reasoning. He believes in a fair & free market society. Spread the word brothers. Our court systems are lengthy, most people settle out of court because the averge person can't afford to wait for justice while the years of stall tactic litigation rolls on and you have a boat with no trailer for two or three years.
I say save time, punish the offenders in the open market by vetoing thier products. It's quicker and more satisfying and has the delightful side effect of pissing Deadwood off ta 'boot.
In most states you can go to small claims court for about 50 dollars and if you win the person being sued has to pay the cout costs otherwise if you lose like miserable mike would its not worth it , but it costs nothing to come here and get you all stirred up. If you or miserable Mike don't like a product then buy something else but stop the whining. Now I have to be branded as a communist by you and in need of viagra by miserable Mike, what gives, why the personal attacks, can't you guys express yourselves without insults or are you too immature for that?
You still havent answered the question as to what kind of trailer you have and the cost of items not covered isn't the issue. If you read the warranty info I posted they should have covered those items with out any problem. As far as being miserable nothing could be further from the truth, I enjoy everything about life and as far as being fustrated by little things it apperas you are the one fustrated by your little thing!
Also they never gave me a real reason for denying my claim. They said the seal and the carpet were wearable part so they would nt cover. (do you see that info in the warranty) The light just got ridiculous. They wanted digital picture and then after acouple phone call with a rather rude individual there they siad thay would not cover them and that I would have to talk with the manufacture of the lights. They also told this to my dealer.

Lets see you started with the personal attacks by calling people whinners, cry babys, etc...and now you can't take it when some one dishes it back.
Also let me get this straight according to you I should get rid of a 4,000.00 trailer because the lights don't work right. Do you realize how stupid you look?
All I know is this. I am very happy that Fishcop post his experiance iwth Road King because he has just me from making a mistake because Road King was one of the Brands of trailers I was looking at.
Road King advertises that they give 3 years Tip to Tip warranty on their trailers ( http://www.roadkingtrailers.com/disection.htm ). From what I see, it seems to be a flat out lie based on what happened with Fishcop.
What's really crazy to me is that I would have thought any decent manufacturer would have taken care of such a small issue, even if they didn't offer a warranty. What they are doing is just bad business.
Mike sorry to hear about the trailer but good to get info out there to prospectives buyers. I would get one of those new kits with the lightrs made into the guide posts - this is the way all drive on trailers should be set up. Dam shame they don't stand behind it. Bro you should have got the roller - no light problems because they don't get dunked, they still leave a lot to be desired. I went theu the connnections and heat shrunk them. Give me a call just bouth a townhouse in Chincoteague.

So the lights are warrantied by the company that makes the lights and they asked for photos and you got nasty with the people at the company. The other items are wear items and were handled as wear items that you think should get perpetual care. Mike it is very scary that you may and probably do have the power to arrest normal and sane people. You are one step above being a rent a cop but it is scary. I am just glad we are not in the same state.
Well Deadwood, as usual, you are wrong once again. Inoperable trailer lights constitutes a safety hazzard and nothing petty about that. WHAT IS SCARY- Is that you might be able to reproduce whether by sexual or asexual means..or maybe even hermaphroditic as some poster have often told you to go F*#K yourself.
I can give all of you an example of why not to go to court. And why the "little guy" almost always loses.
Case: I bout a V8 ford explorer, fully loaded. I took ownership on a friday and saturday we drove it 150 mles for a weekend on the gulfcoast, to go camping and fishing. About 20 miles from our destination, the "check engine" light came on. I was going to have it looked at after the weekend was over but at my wife's insistance, we went to seek out the nearest Ford dealership. We were easing into a parking lot in idle at an Autozone when the suv went into full throttle and if my foot had not already been on the brake, i would have ended up in the shop. As it was it settled atop a concrete pylon with rear tires spinning and I slammed it into park. I reported it to my insurance what had happened and had it towed to the biggest Ford dealership within a 75mile radius.
The insurance agency explained that if Ford Motor company decides to take your claim seriously, they will impound the cr as evidence, strip it, and then after years of litigation, they will reurn it to me and ALL THE WHILE you will be making payments on it. I'm not rich, and not many people can afford 3 car payments. That would be me, my wife's and that death trap. I found several people on the internet who had had similar problems and who knows how many did not or could not report it because they had died as a result. The big laugh was that Ford had explain all of these runaway suvs as floormat problems. As sad as it is to say it, I told the insurance to forget it. I just could not be subjected to that kind of treatment.
The "Crack Team" at the ford dealership was told to try to find the problem. I told them that I didn't care whether they admitted or not if there WAS a problem just to make it go away. 2 months and 2 car payments later I got it back and said that they could find no problem. The car did it again a week later when I was forced to drive it to work one day but this time I refused to drive it more than a short distance there & back and rove wih one foot on the brake, holding my breath every second. (oh I had taken the floormats out) this time. Traded it in a week later for a Nissan Frontier.
Big companies and litigation just plain sucks.
If you purchased a car and it's lights stopped working and it's rear seal started leaking would you expect the dealer to warranty it?
We are not talking about a car , we are talking about a boat trailer that gets submerged in salt water. You and all the whiners should realize a trailer is not a maintaince free product and requires occasional maintaince despite the fact that whiners would like to see the costs of the trailers go up so the few can have their way untill they decide use cyber blackmail for some other petty grievance. In short people like you and the other cyber attackers will never be satisfied no matter how much butt licking you get.
So when something stops working within a year, while using it for its intended use, and you express your displeasure its cyber blackmail when doing it online. Isn’t this forum about enquiring about boating related subjects and receiving informative feedback? So that buyers can make educated purchases. Check out road kings web page for their TIP TO TAIL WARRANTY.
It must be from when you tip the trailing when hooking up to your truck till they see the tail of the trailer driving away!!!
Car dealers almost always lose in court unless of course the case is unwarranted and is whining. I guess we all know what you are. Welcome to the whiners club, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
In the first six month of owning my trailer, I had the support pins drop out of the disc brake calipers, the ground wire fail, a bearing seal badly leaking, grease on the disc brake where the seal leaked, rear light out, carpet torn from dealer setting the boat up too far forward allowing the edge of the trim tab to cut the carpet and splinter the two rear bunks and blown off graphics.
On either this board or a fishing board I made a comment about all the little things wrong with my trailer in such a short time. I had intended to just fix them all myself. Someone emailed me the name of the president of the company. I called him and told him of all the little things that went wrong. He agreed to fix them all. He said bring it to the plant (about 50 miles away) and he would put it in one of the open bays of the plant and put guys on it right away.
While I had him on the phone I asked what would be involved in cutting the trailer tongue back 24 inches. I just wanted information. He said they would take care of that too.
When I went to the plant the president introduced me to theplant managerand told him to see that everything is fixed up. They took the trailer in immediately and started work on it. They replaced the two rear bunks, rewired the ground so it was in a protected area, replaced one whole wheel and brake assembly, replaced a tail light, lowered the bunks to get the boat lower, bled the brake lines, andreplacedthe tongue with one 24" shorter than the original.
While the work was being done on my trailer, the production manager gaveus a tour of the manufacturing facility. They gave my buddy and me hats, donuts and coffee and treated us like kings.
