Pro-Line co-op funds to pay for certification
Pro-Line Boats of Crystal City, Fla., will allow its dealers to use Pro-Line co-op funds to cover up to 100 percent of the costs associated with becoming certified under the Grow Boating Initiative’s Marine Industry Dealership Certification program. The marine industry wants to see boat dealers trained to certain standards so that boaters get a more uniform experience from dealer to dealer. Getting trained and going through the certification costs money and the manufacturers are finding ways to encourage more dealers to participate by making cooperative marketing and training funds available to pay for the training. It's in boater's best interests to have dealers held up to a standardized set of guidelines. The marine industry as a whole is making an effort to implement these guidelines as part of the Grow Boating initiative. It will lead to a stronger, better and more enjoyable boating industry.
